I really enjoy green olives in a gin martini, especially the ones stuffed with blue cheese.

Can’t stand green olives in any other format that I can think of.

Roasted sprouts are the best sprouts!

Sauerkraut was just too overwhelming as a kid, but I love it now. Some other foods were the same, but that is the one I remember.

I liked black olives as a kid, then hated them in my teen years through early 30s and find them tolerable now.

A lot of people hated vegetables as a kid if they were made bland by boiling, and like them a lot more when they have them roasted or just with some seasoning. I remember having bland steamed brussel sprouts at home which are just awful but one of my friends roasted them and they were awesome. My dad cooked up some awesome seasoned steaks and that friends parent bought the wrong cut and cooked it well done so it opened my eyes to how much of a difference preparation makes.

Wabi-sabi is about being close to perfection, but not reaching it. Basically the same concept as hand made things having small imperfections instead of being cookie cutter.

It isn’t about apathy and filth.

Doing something woth your brain leeps it working better, just like how physical exercise works. If you traded gaming for doing nothing, that would make the occasional time you do something feel like a lot of work.

It is also possible that you have some level of depression or your brain adjusted to all the stimulation and other things aren’t triggering the same feeling. It could lots of things.

The first step to try any of those for things is to find an activity that is mentally stimulating in some way. Not like a full dive into calculus, but maybe learning something new like a different hobby or maybe games that aren’t as engaging for long periods of time. I would recommend games with a short completion time and no grinding or rewards if that is what you found to be addicting.

Note: I didn’t stop computer gaming but I did drop another time consuming hobby and it took some adjustment to find something else.

Obama had a winning message and he failed to follow through on a lot of it. It was about hope and more importantly CHANGE.

Dems failed spectacularly by not getting rid of the filibuster when their supermajority had a couple dissenters. If they had actually followed through instead of letting Republicans obstruct when they had two houses and the oval office they could have shown that change and kept the momentum going. Well, if they actually sold their success, which they are also terrible at.

Instead they held onto their safety blanket that the Republicans neutered to stack the courts, and will absolutely throw out if they get the House too so they can pass all the terrible laws they want.

Dems screwed themselves.

Because Dem voters have always needed something to vote for, voting against works for Republicans.

Technically Republicans are voting for something when when they are voting to destroy the government. Their goal just happens to be destructive.

I kinda thought they would learn from Obama’s success in promoting hope and change, but no, they are right back to trying to peel off Republican voters instead of motivating the unengaged voters like he did.

I was excited when Harris first announced and started calling out Trump on his bullshit. Then she was non-committal in actually withholding arms from Israel due to their constantly violating the conditions of being sent those weapons. Then she said that burning a flag was unAmerican or something close enough. Then it went to the step of trying to appeal to Republican voters instead of trying to motivate undecided and apathetic voters, who are the people that helped Obama win with his campaign of hope and change.

I can completely understand someone who has given up because the Dems are just slow walking the decline, not actually improving anything. It is so fucking demoralizing that the Dems can’t learn anything.

That seems completely serious and not satire at all.

Since I never saw the videos, my assumption was that ‘wants another baby’ was wanting to sleep around with multiple partners as in ‘I love you baby’, not having a literal baby. The six pointed stars and the cradle is pretty fucking clear it is about a Jewish woman sleeping around to have multiple babies, and yeah that is apparently one of those ‘Jews are taking over’ racist stereotypes.

Now I’m guessing that the Sign is a swastika.

Expanding settlements is continuing the violent conflict, just not as open warfare.

For most stuff like brake pads, wipers, or bulbs I have used Autozone or O’Reilly, not really picky about either. When I needed the occasional expensive thing like batteries or an alternator I would check prices first and pick the one that was lower for the one I wanted.

This was mostly due to needing the thing right away, so I’m paying a little more for convenience.

I also used LKQ a couple times over a decade ago for junkyard parts like a headlight housing that was damaged.

Haven’t had to do the expensive stuff for quite a few years, just wipers and the occasional brake pads.

I think you are mistaking the desire to leave as a personal desire and not an obligation due to social pressure.

The socond set of back and forth is all about other people’s expectations and then hesitsting.

People don’t want them, the Democrats don’t represent the average working person. It is not the fault of the people for not voting for them, the Democratic Party is not their party.

This is fucking hilarious.

Dems do represent the working class. They are the ones who promote and occasionally pass minimum wage increases, worker safety laws, the ACA, funding for FEMA, social supports, and a ton of other things that positively impact the working class and 98% of the population.

The Republican party actively works to destroy all of those things so they can guve the wealthy tax breaks while lying about whether the working class will benefit.

The problem is messaging. Republicans are great at lying and riling people up, the Dems suck at propoting the positive things they attempt and occasionally succeed at.

And you should hold Harris much more accountable for doing the genocide right now, rather than keep telling me about Trump. I know Trump wants the Genocide as well, but Kamala is already doing it, so to me that is not an alternative.

You know Trump wants more and you are blaming Harris for what Biden is currently doing because she didn’t explicitly state she wouldn’t do a complete 180 and stop support entirely.

That is like saying pooring gasoline on a fire is an alternative to not putting it out. I guess that is an alternative…
